Chekists – Vengeance

Another white label I don’t have any info on, this one is a far cry from the choppy polished jungle I posted yesterday – it’s a lot moodier with acidy synths and a single note piano part coming in and out. The break layering in it sounded a bit awkward to me at first but has grown on me over time – while clunky at points, there’s definitely some interesting things going on with the beats if you listen closely. All in all it’s a pretty sparse, subdued and vibey track, especially worth checking out for white label enthusiasts/obscurity seekers.
