Someone please explain to me how a tune this good is this cheap and low rated on discogs? I guess the B side is better than the A and the A side is pretty technoey for the time, but come on….. every track on the EP is pretty solid, yet I see loads of copies going for 2-3 euros.
The track featured here (“Ascend”) is my favorite, big ups to Shawn DJ Overload for playing this in some of his mixes since I’m pretty sure that’s where I heard it first… It uses the break from Kaotic Chemistry’s “illegal subs”, a track sampled elsewhere on the EP and in fact which provides the title for the record (the “people of rhythm” sample). No idea bout the artist(s) behind the release, whoever you are I tip my hat to you!
Perhaps the reason this goes so cheap is that they probably sold a lot of copies back in he day, and there’s a lot of them in circulation??!
Chill was quite a popular label, some cracking tunes on Chill. Cheers

I know this track from a Steve Mason mix. I forgot the track title for a year and now i’m here finding it ! The atmosphere in this track is fantastic, it’ touches me in a weird way, like some melancholy from the past or something.
Never heard of this one prior to coming across it here. Fantastic though! Love that break. Will definitely have to look at some of those Chill releases, I pretty much only ever looked at them for the NRG material.
