The X Men – My Sound Rule EP

Here’s a great ragga jungle track from 1994. Hyper Records put out a few nice early records, including a couple by DJ Panik and the Freaky (together and separately) which I like a lot. Unlike a lot of labels which fizzled out earlier, Hyper Records kept going from 91 all the way up through 2000. I found this out the hard way when I recently dug up one of their records in the basement of the Soho MVE, with no artist info… just the hyper records logo. Thinking I scored one of their early gems, I brought it home, put it on the turntable and… it turned out to be a Clipz record :(
