I just noticed a post on B2VOS that 92 Retro might be doing a pressing of unreleased Fokus tunes, including an unreleased remix of the the following track. It’s by Tim Taylor, best known for Egyptian Empire – Horn Track and Istanbul. The original of this tune was on Fokus 001, and the remix is definitely one of those early “sampledelic” tunes that throws everything but the kitchen sink at you… hiphop vocals, pianos, various synths, scratching, etc. In the end it sounds more like a megamix than a cohesive track, but there’s nothing wrong with that! Check the tune below, and definitely check the 92 retro repress when it’s released!
