M.A.N.I.C. – I’m Coming Hardcore

Diverging from the obscurities for a bit of a classic here, though one a bit less known by name than your average Sub Base / Shadow hits M.A.N.I.C. did some great 91-93 singles, including earlier slower material like the “concept ep”, through the great “feel it / dreamer” EP which has got to be one of the great cheap underrated 92/93 EPs. This has got to be their biggest track though, an absolute piano stormer. I’m posting the 92 rerelease which is what I have this on, though it came out originally in 1991.

MANIC – I’m Coming Hardcore

There were also several later remixes of this track, including this Peter Paul one….

I’ve probably watched that video a dozen times since it was posted a few years ago, and still grin like an idiot every time I see the crowd absolutely lose it 30 seconds in!

  1. Hello Admin/BlogToTheOldSkool, want to ask a big favore that would make my day/life.
I once owned the UCR compilation tape back in 1990 and this was to be one of the best track i would ever hear. I been hunting after this track ever since. Thought i have found it twice on CD and on 12″ but both copies ended up to be the 1992 version and its just NOT the fresh original track. Anyway could you help me out with a copy? MP3 or if you had a spare 12″ or on CD what would it take to part with it?

Some real gems on this blog, keep up the good work.
    peace.

  2. There exist now a ’91 version with much better quality:

This seems to be the original one from 1991, – however it is has only 6:50min. The previous mentioned horrible low quality youtube version has 7:43min.

It would be nice if someone can post here a link of a CD which contains that awesome track from 1991. So far there exist one i will buy it. 🙂

  3. There is another track..probably on white label which uses the strings of this track with the beats from total confusion and a ditty high pitched squarewave running over the top of it all…used to hear it get played all the time..think was on a top buzz set on commercial tape with artwork from a
rave like raindance some old freinds used to have.
