Ned Ryder – Lift Off

Here’s a track I played during Wednesday’s jungletrain.net stream on vinyl. Someone also asked about it in the comments, so here it is! Yet another obscenely cheap great 94 tune, which I think goes for so little since it’s on a relatively large press label (Back 2 Basics) coupled with not being in many huge mixes etc, no catchy ragga vocals etc. Despite that, it’s a really great tune well worth tracking down – nice spacey fx with stop/start amens, leading up to think being layered with the amen (nothing too original but works quite well). Later on there’s a kind of ominous moody melody nothing super memorable or catchy but definitely adds another layer to the track… overall a great vibey dark track I like throwing into sets.

  1. yeah, I think I paid a pound or 50p for my first copy, 50 cents for my second copy… played it during the radio show and someone said their copy cost 10p 🙂
