Rude Boy – Musicology

Sick bit on Biology Records here. I forget if I’ve posted any of their tracks before but they’re a somewhat underrated label. This is the first release and definitely one of my favs on the label, a solid ragga hardcore jam with the classic “Hardcore Will Never Die!” sample. A large portion of this track was sampled in DJ Scud’s remix of Panacea’s “King of the Jungle”, which is kind of funny since I remember some sort of scene drama years ago about someone sampling Scud’s beats.

DJ Scud, of course, also released under the name Rude Boy: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Rude+Boy+(4)

No idea if this is the same Rude Boy, but it wouldn’t be terribly dramatic for him to have sampled himself.

def not him, I don’t think he started producing until 95 or so.

Is this definitely Musicology? I have it labelled up as Jungles’t….

I wasn’t sure which side was which… I based it on the fact that the label of the record (pictured above) says “B Musicology”, and the matrix # on the side I ripped ended in “AA” (versus “A” on the other side), which made me think this was the B side. I could be wrong though.
