Dica & Ben Intallect – Can’t Stop the Pirates

Here’s a track which samples a classic TV news report on pirate radio. Check the BBC documentary below, which includes a clip of the TV report in question followed by someone playing the intro of this tune. Dica & Ben Intellect put out some great singles, as with most of the Boogie Beat stuff it’s relatively underrated and easy to find.

  6. pittuf says:

Yeah fair play, it certainly is more on the lighter side of the hardcore breaks scene than deeper darker tripped out jungle beats.

I like it though, but then I am well into the hardcore breaks sound at the moment. :)

heh good question Onks the tune in that pirate radio video really rings a bell but can’t think of it off the top of me head, maybe do an audio clip or post the link on tuneid.com and someone there will know?

i really want to know what they used to make these boogie beats records…they sound so different…but super ghetto sampling..like amigas..but they have more headroom than normal amiga stuff and looser programming.

it’s almost like ensoniq EPS style (nrg)
