I recently bought a large amount of 94-95 stuff from a classic Boston DJ, and I’ll probably be posting a number of these records over the next few months… since they’re all relatively cheap/easy to find EPs, anything you hear and like you can probably nab on ebay or discogs for less than the cost of a new mp3 release.
This first track is by Sub Sequence, aka Flat 47 (who did two great EPs on Kickin and were featured on one of the Kickin Six Packs), aka B-Free (whose “B Free EP” is a classic rarity and was repressed by 92 Retro a couple of years back). The vocals here may put some of people off, but they sound fine to me – a welcome relief from much more stripped down 94/95 tracks.
