Here’s one of my favorite EPs on Ruff Quality. DJ Dextrous is better known for his later jungle tracks circa 94-95 on labels like Jet Star, Renk and Suburban Base… this cut is significantly earlier but not too different in style – good ragga sounds combined with quality beats and (in this track’s case) bleepy melody. Both mixes on this EP are pretty similar but I like this remix a bit more, it brings in the main melody sooner.

Yes! Personal favorite of mine. I battered this tune back in ’92. I never thought Ruff Quality got the attention it deserved. I guess it was overshadowed by it’s big brother, Shut Up And Dance.
Yeah there’s some classics on there for sure. I don’t care for the Mario Brothers EPs but I like pretty much everything else on the label to some degree.
