I try to keep this site focused on genuine “made in 91-95″ oldschool stuff since there’s plenty of dubstep/electro blogs to handle the occasional rave flavored new tune in those respective genres. But, in the past day or two, I’ve been linked to some pretty sick throwback tunes by dubstep producers that I don’t know much about. Rather than just being modern sounding tracks with oldschool elements (something VERY common in dubstep/electro), these sound more legit hardcore/jungle tracks with few discernable modern elements aside from sharper production and heavier bass.
First up is one by Redlight aka Clipz:
This second track is by Skream. I heard Craze play this track last Sunday night and it went over really well…. heavy bass + simple beats + the classic “you got me burning up” acapella.
Even though most people know that acapella from the Cloud 9 track “You Got me Burnin’” on Moving Shadow, it was also used several other great oldschool tracks including Anthill Mob “Penelope’s Theme” and this tune:

Rhythm Section – Burnin Up
I swear this is the last lowfi trebly rip I’ll do on this portable Numark… I figure it’s still better than a youtube video though.
Here’s a Rusko track that’s straightahead amens plus oldschool bass (not a wub in sight). Tasty stuff!
I also should mention the HATE singles being released and distributed by Boomkat… I’ve got a few of these and I’m planning on ordering the rest soon enough. Some of these are more “convincing” than others but there’s some serious jams in this series.
If anyone has the Redlight or Rusko tracks, feel free to send me an email… I obviously won’t post them here but would like to hear the full proper tracks.
and I will remove them right away.
