Here’s a tune Tim sent me for posting but never wrote up…. rather than harass him, I’m going to scoop him and do the writeup myself. You snooze, you lose Tim!
\nUnlike most of what I post, I’d say this tune is far from obscure – in fact I’d class it as a pretty vital darkcore jam. Produced by the one-two combo of Pascal and Sponge (hence the “SP” moniker), the original of this was featured on the Face 002 EP<\/a>, and got played by tons of top names. As with a lot of Tango remixes, this doesn’t completely throw out the original track, but is more of a subtler revamp with memorable phaser-ed pads replacing the original’s melody… I definitely like both mixes but this one wins out for me. It’s also featured on the “Face of the Future”<\/a> comp which is a must-have for any fans of dark, moody, 93-94 amen type tunes…
