I got caught up watching a Robocop marathon Saturday, which made me start searching for a particular tune I remembered that sampled it… turned out to be this one. In my mind, there’s three basic “cheat codes” to winning classic hardcore\/jungle: 1. Sample Predator 2. Sample Aliens or 3. Sample Robocop. This track uses the third cheat code, swiping a somewhat epic line from Robocop 2 and combining it with nasty amens and those classic Robert Owens vocals from Satoshi Tomie “tears” (anyone know exactly which techno\/house track the synths are from?). Just super vibey and fun to spin, deep without being too dark, A++ \/ good communication \/ would rinse again (as the crusty sound of this rip proves!)<\/p>\n
