This week’s radio show was an all Reinforced Records + sublabels (mainly Tom + Jerry) special… starting with their first 2 releases, moving through the years up to their second wave in the late 90’s \/ early 00’s. All in all, I’m quite happy with the track selection on this – one of my needles was going a bit so it’s not crystal clear but still sounds OK to me. While playing these tunes, it struck me how many of these are by Marc Mac & Dego (aka 4 Hero) under various guises – these guys really put out an unbelievable amount of great material back then!!

\nTowards the end of the mix, it becomes less a properly selectored representatio, and more a focus on some of my personal favorites from 98-02… eg lots of Leon Mar\/Arcon 2 because that guy was KILLING IT back then and is a top personal favorite. There’s even a worn out unreleased dubplate towards the end which he gave away as part of some competition in 96\/97, that I picked up second-hand some years ago…
Definitely check this and be sure to check all the original reinforced releases (some of which are for sale digitally) because, as this mix proves, there’s untold gems on the label!
