{"id":3089,"date":"2011-09-16T19:49:36","date_gmt":"2011-09-17T02:49:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogtotheoldskool.com\/?p=3089"},"modified":"2011-09-16T19:49:36","modified_gmt":"2011-09-17T02:49:36","slug":"nemisis-self-induced-trance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogtotheoldskool.com\/?p=3089","title":{"rendered":"Nemisis &#8211; Self Induced Trance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Back to the mined obscurities, here&#8217;s a nice unassuming 92 EP of dark hardcore.  &#8220;Self Induced Trance&#8221; doesn&#8217;t have crazy choppy beats, instead it follows the more standard formula of taking parts out, putting new parts in, etc.  Main things which made it stick out for me were the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/3-Phase-Featuring-Dr-Motte-Der-Klang-Der-Familie\/master\/2855\">3 Phase \u2013 Der Klang Der Familie<\/a> sample (always a plus in tracks, though I wish I could find one that actually samples Jeff Mill&#8217;s remix Phase 4),  some good acid parts, and the 2 layers of beats (one halftime) which make it nice and chunky.
