Here’s a nice lesser known record on J4M Records. J4M was mostly known for two artists – Nebula 2 (who dropped their incredible “Flatliners”\/”COD Rider” single and remix single on there), and Bass Ballistics (of “Smoke This One” semi-fame). This EP doesn’t compare with those singles, and is somewhat “niche” oriented, but it’s is definitely a decent piece of wax – I could easily see either side of this being one of those songs which sticks out in a mix and slowly worms its way into your brain over years of listening. <\/p>\n

The drums in “Red Lion” are a bit strange, combining breakbeats with a kick snare pattern that almost seems marching-drum-esque. This tune is the catchier of the two tracks – the B-side is noisier and crazier, maybe for me to post on another day.
