It’s almost that time again… this Wednesday is another installment of the blog to the oldskool radio show on jungletrain.net. Wednesday night, 7-9:30pm EST, midnight-2:30am UK, 1am-3:30am GMT.
This session is going to be a full 91-95 era session, starting slow, speeding up along the way. It’s also going to feature almost entirely stuff off the blog (last show was fun but had NO tracks from the blog). This means anything you like in the stream, you can download right off the blog and listen to on its own / get full info on easily.
This might be helpful for people who haven’t dug through the entirety of the archive, which could take a while since there’s close to 700 releases there. However, for those who think they’re pretty up to date and have thoroughly rinsed my blog’s back-catalog of posts, there’s still good reason to tune in… .. I’m going ahead and ripping the next 5-6 tracks to be posted on the blog over the next few weeks. During the show, I’m going to not only be playing these, but I’ll also be pasting secret links to the tracks into the chat window, so you get them before anyone else.
Since I know some people can’t tune in because of time zone differences / real life getting in the way, there’s another way to get these tracks – follow @blog2oldskool on twitter, and retweet my post about the radio show which I’ll be posting earlier wednesday. Once you do this, I’ll DM you with the links after the show airs.
Maybe this is a bit of a cheap ploy, but the site gets very few reshares and retweets (especially about the radio show), so rather than just continue whinging on here, figure I’d give a nice little incentive to spread the word.
